Policies

Learn 2 Learn Tutoring Centre is an active and full member of the Australian Tutoring Association (ATA). We adhere to the ATA’s code of conduct established for tutors (and teachers).

This body was formed in 2004 to ensure clients are provided with the best possible service by ethical tutoring organisations and tutors, build the status of tutors and to encourage best practice among tutors.

The ATA is available to handle unresolved complaints by clients of member tutors. The ATA Code of Conduct is available at the Learn 2 Learn Tutoring Centre for client perusal. Copies of the ATA code of conduct are also available from the website.

Refund Policy
Our centre must be notified in advance of all absences where possible. Missed lessons must be made up according to the Missed Lesson Policy. It is centre policy that tuition fees will not be refunded if no effort has been made to contact us prior to an absence. Make-up sessions will be available according to the Missed Lesson Policy. Termination of enrolment must be two weeks in advance in all circumstances and in writing to: info@learn2learn.com.au

Missed Lesson Policy
When you enrol your child into our centre, you are committing to attending and paying for weekly tutoring during the school term, regardless of circumstances. If you cannot make your child’s tutorial time (sickness, camp, holiday etc.), please let us know as soon as possible. We will offer two possible times as make-up sessions. Make-up lessons must be taken within the school term in which they are offered. They CANNOT be carried over into the next school term. Tutorials are conducted during the school term and ‘breaks’ in tuition only occur during the school holidays. All missed tutorials must be paid for regardless of circumstances. There are no exceptions to these terms.

Tutoring times
Please have your child at the centre ready to learn on time for their tutorial. This will guarantee your child will receive a full 60-minute session. Lateness will reduce the time that your child has been allocated. If you cannot attend, please phone the centre as soon as possible as per the Missed Tutorial Policy. Please note, if notice is not received for not attending a session, this will void any obligations to provide a make-up.

Individual Tuition Session
If your child has an individual tutorial and they are unable to make it on the day, it is required that you phone the teacher or tutor first with as much notice as possible and inform them personally. Do not text, email or message as these are not reliable methods of direct communication with the tutor. Then notify the office as soon as possible. Please understand, if you do not inform the teacher or tutor with enough notice, then you will forfeit the full payment for that tutorial.

Public Holidays
Our centre will be open and operating as usual on all public holidays that occur during the term. If students are unable to make it on a public holiday, parents will need to reschedule their child’s session during that week.

Student-Free Days
Our centre will be open and operating as usual on all student-free days.

School Camps
It is expected that at least two weeks’ notice is given prior to attending a school camp or late excursion; this allows a make-up lesson to take place.

Pick up and Drop Off
The safety of all students attending our centre is paramount. It is for this reason that we ask you to abide by the following guidelines:

All children are to be collected from our centre by a parent/carer. If another adult is to collect your child, please inform the centre to identify the other adult. This will avoid confusion and embarrassment to all parties and help to protect the safety of your child.

It is the parent’s responsibility to supervise the student to and from the car to the door of the centre when dropping off and picking up.

If you wish to make alternative arrangements regarding pick up and drop off, you must advise us on your enrolment form or by written/verbal notification.

In the unexpected situation of a parent being unable to collect their child on time, a courtesy call on 0438 886 771 needs to be made to inform us of the situation.
